Subscription guide

How to find hidden subscriptions

A subscription can hide behind an unfamiliar payment name, an annual charge or an app store. A structured review helps uncover expenses you no longer use.

Review at least 12 months

Monthly payments are easy to recognise, while quarterly and annual plans require more history. Look for repeated amounts and similar merchant names, then compare them with receipts and emails.

Do not confuse habits with subscriptions

Three purchases for the same amount are not automatically a subscription. A café, bakery or payment processor may repeat without a contract. Look for regular intervals and whether the merchant normally sells subscriptions.

Review value and terms

Check the next renewal date, cancellation deadline and how much you actually use the service. Save confirmation when you cancel.

Frequently asked questions

Is Apple.com/bill always one subscription?

No. It may cover several purchases or services through Apple. Check your purchase history for the specific service.

Can a subscription change price?

Yes. Price changes, currencies and plans mean the amount should never be the only signal.
